Airlie Beach Race week Festival of Sailing.  Six days of racing and seven nights of free live entertainment.  Join in the weekend Family Fun Run.  Witness the flaming torches and pounding drums setting the pace for the Outrigger Challenge.  There's even a wine show and a long late lunch on the lawn.  View the action, the colour and spectacle of sailing.  There are food stalls and free live music every night. Race Week Long, Late Lunch on the Lawn - Saturday 13 August 2pm till late

Join us for a long, late lunch on the lawn, starting at 2.00pm on Saturday 13th August. Enjoy a six course Italian inspired menu, matched with six sumptuous wines from Samuel Smith and Sons. Sit back, relax, enjoy the view and indulge! At only $65 per person this is the Whitsundays' culinary event of the year. Race Week Family Fun Run - Saturday 13 August – 4pm till 6.30pm

Join in the afternoon Family Fun Run from the Whitsunday sailing Club along the Bicentennial Walkway to Sorrento in Abell Point Marina and return. Staged by the Airlie Beach Running Club and proudly supported by WSC, this inaugural event will see runners dressed up in Rio Carnival Olympics fancy dress. Winners will receive meal vouchers to enjoy at the Whitsunday Sailing Club and everyone is invited to enjoy a night of live music from The Cadillacs.

Race Week Wine Show - Sunday 14 August - 2pm till 6pm

Watching the racing can be thirsty work so we decided to get a range of wine companies to present their premium brands for your tasting pleasure. Take a sip and if you fancy the drop then you can grab a glass for only $6. If you are feeling hungry then there will be a range of food stalls available to satisfy your lubricated pallet.

Race Week Outrigger Challenge – Sunday 14 August – 4pm till 6pm

Witness the flaming torches and pounding drums setting the pace for the Outrigger Challenge. Staged by Outrigger Whitsunday, six Crews will compete in a round robin event starting at the Whitsunday Sailing Club.

Paddlers will complete circuits between the Sailing Club foreshore and Abell Point Marina, culminating in a finish on the beach in the Sailing Club grounds, just in time for the stage to light up with an evening of live entertainment from Mason Rack Band.

Food Stalls at The Airlie Beach Race Week Festival HQ

Open every evening from 5pm at the Whitsunday Sailing Club, food stalls will offer foods to please. Come and feast on Hungry Possum Wood Fired Pizzas, the Oyster Girls fresh oysters, the Brazilian Food Guys sumptuous offerings as well as a range of Daily Specials from the Whitsunday Sailing Club stall. Match these delights with a $6 beer, wine or mixer from Race Week Bar!
